We go room by room and figure out what you're working with. Speakers in the ceiling? Old receiver in a closet? Wires that go nowhere? We'll sort out what's usable and what's dead. A lot of homes have good equipment that just needs modern brains.
Need a TV on the wall? We'll figure out the best spot, talk through your options for cable management, and get it mounted while we're there. Fireplace installs, mantle mounts, outdoor setups. We'll make sure it's done right.
Planning a dedicated theater space or upgrading your living room setup? We'll talk through projector vs. TV, figure out speaker placement, and spec out what you actually need. If there's existing equipment, we'll assess what's worth keeping and what needs to go.
In-ceiling speakers, outdoor zones, multi-room streaming. We'll map out what makes sense for how you actually listen. If the house already has speakers wired in, we can connect them to modern amps with AirPlay and Bluetooth. We'll figure out what's salvageable before recommending anything new.
Lighting, locks, thermostats, cameras. We'll talk through what's worth automating and what's overkill. We'll figure out which system makes sense for you (HomeKit, Google, Alexa) and prioritize based on what'll actually make your life easier. We can tackle it in phases as you settle in.
Building new or renovating? We'll review blueprints, coordinate with your builder, and make sure speaker wire, ethernet, and power get roughed in before drywall goes up. Running cable during construction costs almost nothing. Retrofitting after costs a fortune.
We'll tell you what you actually need, not what sounds impressive. If the existing speakers work, we'll use them. If a simple fix solves the problem, we'll say so.

Once we know what you want to do, we put together a plan and source the equipment. You can buy it yourself or we can pick it up. Either way, we'll make sure you're not overspending.
We come back and do the work. Mount the TV, set up the system, connect everything, and walk you through how it all works before we leave.
Whatever's already in your house, there's a good chance we can make it work. If you need new equipment, we'll recommend what fits your budget and how you actually use the space.

The consultation is $200 and includes a free TV mount. We come out, walk through the house, figure out what you've got, and talk through your options. Once we know what you want to do, we come back to mount your TV and handle whatever else you're ready for.
No pressure to commit to anything beyond the consultation. We'll give you an honest picture of what's possible, what it would cost, and what we'd recommend. You can tackle it all at once or chip away at it over time.

We serve the entire City of Chicago and the surrounding North Shore suburbs. Common city neighborhoods include Andersonville, Bucktown, Gold Coast, Hyde Park, Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Logan Square, Old Town, Pilsen, River North, Roscoe Village, The Loop, West Loop, and Wicker Park. Suburban areas (subject to a travel fee) include Evanston, Glencoe, Glenview, Highland Park, Kenilworth, Wilmette, and Winnetka. For projects within Chicago city limits there's no additional travel fee. For suburban locations a travel fee may apply to cover transit time, and we'll discuss it upfront during the initial consultation so there are no surprises on the final invoice.
We walk through the house together and look at what you've got. Existing speakers, old equipment, wiring that may or may not go anywhere. We'll talk through what you're hoping to do, figure out what's reusable, and give you a sense of what it would take to get things set up the way you want.
A lot of homes have systems from the early 2000s that were great at the time but don't work with modern streaming. The good news is, most of the speakers and wiring are still usable. We can usually gut the old equipment and connect everything to modern amps with AirPlay, Bluetooth, and actual streaming support.
Not at all. Most people have a vague idea, maybe a couple annoyances, but nothing fully planned out. That's the point of the consultation. We'll talk through what's possible, help you prioritize, and figure out what makes sense for how you actually live.
Even better. If you're doing construction, reach out before drywall goes up. We can coordinate with your builder on speaker wire, ethernet, and power so everything gets roughed in while the walls are open. Running cable during construction is cheap. Retrofitting later is expensive.
No. Most people start with one project and add on later. A common path: consultation first, then TV mounting when you move in, then smart home setup once you're settled. We'll give you a phased plan so you can spread the work (and cost) over time.
